Let’s compare how the real estate market in Monmouth and Ocean counties performed in December 2020 compared to last year. December, typically a slower month for real estate, did not deter buyers this holiday season and both counties had 47-56% more sales this year than last. Low levels of supply continue to drive prices up and homes also sold more quickly than last year. More people paid cash this year than last in each category (Single Family vs. Condo in both counties).
