📈Let’s compare how the real estate market in Monmouth and Ocean counties performed in December compared to last year.
📉 Like the previous month, there was a decrease in the number of homes sold last month, compared to the previous year. Prices remain slightly higher than last year, with the exception of the condo category in Ocean County, which saw about a 15% decline in sales price. Interestingly, inventory was higher in all categories, except condos in Ocean County, which saw fewer units on market. Now that we are out of the holiday season and into a brand new year, it will be interesting to see how the market performs this year. For the buyers I’m currently working with, I am still seeing bidding wars where the price, condition and location are prime.
