Silvermead is a 55+ community with manufactured homes located in Freehold Township, NJ. The first phase began development in 1964, but many of the older homes have been removed and replaced with newer homes. There are at least 400 homes in the community. Homes primarily have 2-3 bedrooms although there are some with 1 and 4 bedrooms as well. In Silvermead, you are purchasing the actual home, not the land, so you are in what is known as a land lease. With a land lease, you pay a monthly fee to the association which covers a variety of costly items associated with buying a home. Your monthly HOA fees cover just about everything from property taxes, land lease, lawn maintenance, water/sewer, trash/snow removal, plus use of the clubhouse, swimming pool and other amenities.

 Silvermead provides a more affordable option for those in the retirement years all while being located in a convenient location within Monmouth County. The development is located directly off Route 9 in Freehold, NJ. It is close to Freehold Mall, hospital and transportation routes.
